Welcome, Reflections, and Looking Ahead From Adrian Wood, P-3A President
P-3A’s new webpage is for you! Thank you to Drew Stoner for her leadership in making it happen!
P-3A members are professionals who serve Connecticut in the following agencies: Bureau of Education and Services for the Blind; Bureau of Rehabilitation Services; Connecticut Technical Education and Career System: Department of Administrative Services; Office of Early Childhood; and State Department of Education. Our members work in a variety of different capacities but with one goal, making sure we provide the best public service possible to all of Connecticut residents.
I am pleased to serve as your P-3A president for another term. My appreciation for the role of the P-3A President—and for the extraordinary service of member leaders, and the critical statewide contributions of P-3A members—has deepened and grown during my tenure. I couldn’t do it without you.
Through our partnership with CSEA SEIU Local 2001 we work diligently to: (1) secure a contract that is protects and endeavors to build upon benefits, wages and retirement securities in place; (2) create workspaces that are more equitable, representative, and culturally sustaining and responsive; and (3) strengthen our collaboration and collective action to advance systems change for racial equity and inclusion across state government through cross-sector partnerships.
Your participation and voices matter—I want to hear from you! Labor must stand united to successfully push a statewide agenda that has the physical, economic, and social-emotional wellness and well-being of all union members at its core. I welcome a constructive exchange of ideas. We are stronger together!
