Andre Sonnenberg, President of Council 760, retires after many years of service.

Dear Fellow Council 760 Members,
It is with great emotion that I announce that I have officially retired as of September 30, 2025, and will now step down from serving as the Council 760 President for our union, CSEA SEIU Local 2001, a role I've been honored to hold for many years.
I have met incredible members who serve communities across our state in important and often overlooked ways. Our members have made huge gains when we've stood together, not just for ourselves and our families, but for the towns and cities that we serve. Serving as your president has been one of the greatest honors of my career and my life. I’ve seen firsthand the dedication and pride that each of you brings to your work every day, often without the recognition you deserve. I would be remiss if I didn't also take a moment to thank the staff at CSEA who help us better organize and make progress on the issues that matter most to us. I want to especially thank David Glidden, our Executive Director, who has done, and continues to do, so much for our members. Watching us grow stronger, more united, and more confident in our collective power - from tough contract negotiations to local victories that made a real difference in people’s lives - has been an immense honor. We have proven that when we stand shoulder to shoulder, we can achieve anything. The friendships, lessons, and memories I’ve gained from this union family will stay with me forever.
