CT Winter Special Olympics

The Good Works Committee is once again volunteering at the Winter Special Olympics at the end of the month! Last year we had volunteers from five of our councils (P-3A, Paras, Retirees, P4, P,3B) plus CSEA staff and family. Everyone had a great time supporting the athletes and this important event.  If you would like to participate this year, you can register at: https://www.soct.org/get-involved/event-volunteer-opportunities. Look for the CSEA tent when you arrive at the location! Saturday, February 28th | 8:15AM-3:30PM Bloomfield Eversource Campus| 1985 Blue Hills Ave Ext, Windsor Volunteer Descriptions: Athlete Escort – Under the direction of a team’s head Coach, volunteers will be assigned to an athlete/team for the day and escort them to staging areas, competition venues, lunch and Olympic town. Cross Country Straight – Assist with staging, timing, monitoring, or scorekeeping the 100/50/25 meter Cross Country Courses Cross Country Loop – Assist with staging, timing, monitoring, or scorekeeping the 250-meter Cross Country Course Snowshoe Loop – Assist the athlete with getting their snowshoes on and off.  Assist with staging, timing, monitoring, or scorekeeping the snowshoe races

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY BUILD

Date:  Saturday, May 2nd
Location:  Hartford, CT (details to follow after signing up)
Time:   8am all day
Cost:  $300 per volunteer

How to be involved:
- Monetary sponsorships for a volunteer of $300
- Volunteer a sponsored member
- Donation of any amounts are appreciated
