We All Deserve a Shot at the American Dream

Workers across the country deserve a fair chance to unite with their co-workers for better wages and benefits and a chance to create a better future for their kids.  Too often, they don't have the opportunity because of outdated laws that favor large corporations and their billionaire CEOs over workers.

When some workers are denied a voice on the job it affects all of our abilities to negotiate. Our benefits, our wages, and our ability to deliver the services our communities need will be severely weakened.

There's a bill the US House of Representatives passed in 2007 -- but President Bush's allies in the Senate filibustered when he threatened to veto it -- that will make sure all workers get a fair shot at achieving the American Dream.
